This is Part 4 in a continuing series.
John Dietrich is, at his most basic level, a homebody. He loves spending time working in his yard, chopping wood for the winter and hanging out with his two dogs, Bones and Snoop. But, every so often, he is coerced into a vacation, and this summer his daughter convinced him to take her to the beach. So, they set off for North Carolina and enjoyed some time in the surf and the sand. Of course, Mr. Dietrich never really stops being a research teacher, so when he discovered a jellyfish washed up in the surf, his first instinct was to conduct the most academic of observations.
Carolina Beach would never be the same.
Mr. Dietrich did interact with some live animals, as well, lest you be concerned that his vacation was just one long dance with death.
Since he never truly steps away from his scientific roots, Mr. Dietrich is totally ready to roll with a new school year. Just don’t fall asleep in his class or you could find yourself wearing sunglasses in a picture on the MVGS blog.
