The close of a school year is always fraught with mixed emotions and harried days. We’re all grateful for the restful days that summer promises and full of joy and congratulations for the graduating seniors. At the same time, there’s a bittersweet knowledge that those students are moving on, and we won’t get to spend our days with them anymore. Our first year students will be rejoining us, but the sense of time passing is palpable in their growing maturity, and the fresh-faced first years are now become our seasoned seniors.
So, we are forced to look forward, to overcome our nostalgia in pursuit of progress. And, we faculty members of MVGS have started planning the next year, ready to embrace 2010 – 2011 with dedication and vigor. Throughout the summer and into August, we will update the blog with MVGS news and events. Periodically, we will dedicate blog space to an in-depth explanation of the new initiatives for the coming school year, and we look forward to your comments and ideas as we move forward.
Thank you to the students (and their parents!) for a successful school year, and enjoy the summer!
